[MoniCare] Night-time safety in care homes is hard to manage. How should facilities respond?

MoniCare, so nights are one less thing to worry about

Current problems in care homes

Accidents in care settings happen in the gap between the moment care is needed and the staff available to give it. At night in particular, a small team has to keep an eye on many residents at once, so it is hard to watch every situation continuously. MoniCare is an AI safety-management support system that analyzes CCTV video with AI, detects residents' risky movements in real time, and links them to staff alerts and response records.

How MoniCare works

To catch potentially risky situations even when no one is watching, you need real-time video analysis and an alert system. MoniCare analyzes live CCTV video to detect risky movements such as bed exits, unstable posture, and wandering. Detected situations are sent to staff as alerts, and the response that follows can be recorded as well.

You can keep your existing CCTV

Adopting MoniCare does not require replacing the CCTV cameras already in your facility. We check each camera's resolution, angle, and mounting position to determine whether it can be connected to AI analysis. Only for positions where the existing camera cannot support analysis do we consider replacing it or adding a new one.

From detection to response, everything is linked in the record

When a risky situation occurs, the time of detection, the alert sent, staff acknowledgment, and the on-site response can all be recorded chronologically. Snapshots from before and after the incident, VLM analysis results, and the event timeline can be reviewed together, which makes them useful for shift handovers, reviewing how an incident unfolded, and facility operating records.

Record itemUse
Time of risk detectionConfirm when the situation occurred
Staff alertConfirm when the alert was delivered
Staff acknowledgmentConfirm whether a response was started
On-site responseReview the response before and after the incident
Snapshots and VLM analysis resultsReview what was detected and how it was analyzed
Event timelineReview the entire response flow chronologically

Video is analyzed inside the facility

CCTV footage from a care facility can contain sensitive personal information, including residents' images and details of their daily lives. MoniCare is designed to process video on-device, on a server or edge device inside the facility. No raw video leaves the facility: snapshots and record data are also stored on-site, and access permissions can be separated by user role.

Closing the safety gap in night-time care

MoniCare goes beyond simply checking CCTV: AI detects risky situations in the video and links them to staff alerts and response records. This helps staff quickly identify the situations they need to check and manage the information from before and after an incident in an organized way.
