As artificial intelligence (AI) emerges as a key focus across industries, an opportunity has been created to experience related technologies and solutions in one place.
The ‘1st Industrial AI Expo’ opened on the 3rd at COEX Magok Convention Center in Seoul. Held through to the 5th under the theme ‘The convergence of AI and industry: leading a new industrial revolution’, the event features around 100 companies, including HD Hyundai and LG CNS, showcasing their latest industrial AI solutions.
In particular, global tech giants such as NVIDIA, Microsoft (MS) and AMD also set up booths with their Korean partners, demonstrating their presence.
Managing AI heat with cooling technology

The booth that attracted the most attention was NVIDIA’s. NVIDIA jointly set up the booth with its Korean partner Leaders Systems and unveiled a wide range of next-generation AI infrastructure.
The exhibition showcased the NVIDIA DGX B200, an integrated AI platform covering training, fine-tuning and inference, along with the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell series. In particular, the internal structure of the equipment was also revealed, attracting visitors’ interest.
VERTIV, a data centre infrastructure company participating as a partner, introduced ‘CoolChip CDU (coolant distribution unit)’, a next-generation liquid cooling distribution technology, and Smart Aisle3, an advanced modular data centre.

As demand for AI computing surges and managing heat from servers and GPUs emerges as a key challenge in data centre operations, higher-density high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and GPU integration make cooling efficiency directly linked to system stability. Accordingly, liquid cooling technology is regarded as an essential element of next-generation AI infrastructure.
Smart Aisle3 is a solution equipped with high-efficiency precision air conditioning, UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and a versatile soft busway power distribution system suitable for large-scale data centre applications. A Vertiv representative emphasised, “The system was designed with high-density thermal loads in mind, enabling the effective management of heat issues arising in high-performance computing environments.”
AMD and MS also set up booths… showcasing their technological capabilities

Clevi, a Korean start-up participating as an AMD partner, showcased a programme that automatically generates websites using an AI agent. When instructed to “create a shopping mall that recommends outfits using AI”, coding began on the spot, attracting the attention of visitors.
In March, Clevi officially launched its proprietary ultra-large generative AI, ‘Ivy’. Ivy provides powerful capabilities including ▲real-time learning and adaptation ▲multi-data processing ▲code interpreter ▲expert model generation ▲agent support system, and is regarded as having applications across a range of fields, from individual users to enterprises.
Global companies including MS and HP also participated, showcasing their competitiveness. MS set up a booth where visitors could experience the Copilot programme directly and introduced various examples of how it can enhance work productivity.

One participant at the event said, “After experiencing AI firsthand, I was impressed that it is not merely a technology but a solution that can be applied immediately in actual industrial settings,” adding, “It seems there will be many opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to use it as well.”
At this Industrial AI Expo, numerous new products applied to key industrial sectors, including automotive, shipbuilding, electronics and batteries, were unveiled. In addition, the expo is supporting the discovery of new business opportunities for promising companies through one-to-one business meetings between domestic and international industrial AI demand and supply companies, as well as IR and pitching programmes.

Technology seminars involving AI experts from Australia and overseas, presentations of exemplary cases, and information-sharing and networking programmes were also held.
Kang Gam-chan, Director-General for Industrial Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, said in his opening remarks, “The Industrial AI Expo is a forum for innovation leading South Korea’s great transformation through industrial AI,” adding, “We will strengthen public–private cooperation so that companies can voluntarily and safely share our strength—high-quality manufacturing data—and strive to dramatically enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry through manufacturing AX.”
