The 1st Industrial AI Expo was held from the 3rd to the 5th at the COEX Magok Convention Centre. Under the main theme ‘The convergence of AI and industry, leading a new industrial revolution’, the expo brought together future-oriented technologies and solutions applying AI across a broad range of industries, including energy, logistics, healthcare, climate tech and digital healthcare, going beyond manufacturing.

Attracting attention as Korea’s first exhibition dedicated to industrial AI, the expo focused not only on the exhibition itself but also on revitalising the industrial AI ecosystem and creating practical business partnership opportunities through a range of associated events, including conferences, the Industrial AI International Certification Forum, AI‑Tech seminars, IR pitching and Business Connect.

At Industrial AI Expo 2025, HD Hyundai presented its vision for the smart transformation of manufacturing industries, including shipbuilding, construction and energy, through advanced AI technologies and innovative solutions. At the exhibition, held at the Magok COEX Convention Centre, HD Hyundai showcased a range of AI-based innovation solutions centred on a ‘people-centric smart industrial environment’, attracting considerable interest from visitors.

The exhibition focused on ‘HiCAMS (HiCAMS)’, a vessel and onshore safety control solution incorporating digital twin technology, and ‘HiCBM (HiCBM)’, an AI-based solution for real-time monitoring of equipment operating conditions and condition-based diagnostic management. These solutions are next-generation technologies that can improve safety at complex manufacturing sites and prevent equipment failures in advance. They have already been deployed at shipyards, significantly improving worker safety and production efficiency.

The shipyard-specific AI interpretation and translation service ‘HD Agent (HD Agent)’ also attracted attention. The service converts complex work instructions containing not only on-site terminology and foreign languages but even regional dialects into standard language in real time, maximising communication efficiency between workers and improving the accuracy of on-site work. In the experience zone at the exhibition, visitors could use HD Agent themselves and experience the process of converting work instructions into standard language.

In addition, future technologies for the marine and land-based industries were also unveiled, including ‘OceanWise’, which recommends optimal routes using vessel operation data; ‘Real-X’, a future-oriented construction equipment control solution incorporating reinforcement learning; mobile unmanned power control vessels and unmanned surface vessels (USVs) for combat; and a model nuclear-powered vessel, offering a glimpse into the future of smart industrial sites.

InterX leads digital innovation in manufacturing with AI-based autonomous manufacturing solutions

AI specialist CLEVI captured visitors’ attention at the ‘1st Industrial AI Expo’ by showcasing a humanoid robot equipped with advanced teleoperation technology. Teleoperation technology enables a robot to learn and replicate an operator’s actions in real time, and CLEVI demonstrated new possibilities for automating tasks and enhancing safety in industrial settings.

The humanoid robot showcased at CLEVI’s booth precisely replicated an operator’s movements and demonstrated a high level of accuracy applicable to complex manufacturing and assembly processes. By reducing the burden on operators while improving both work efficiency and safety, it is attracting significant attention in manufacturing environments.

NVIDIA ELITE partner Leaders Systems, led by CEO Lee Bu-seok, participated in the ‘2025 Industrial AI EXPO’, presenting high-performance GPU-based supercomputing systems and industrial digital twin and AI simulation platforms to demonstrate the potential for AI infrastructure innovation in industrial environments.

Since its establishment in 2003, Leaders Systems has been a leading GPU specialist in South Korea in the fields of AI, deep learning, simulation and data centre construction. Based on NVIDIA’s accelerated computing technology, it has established itself as a ‘full-stack AI infrastructure partner’ by supplying comprehensive GPU-optimised platforms, from supercomputers, workstations and GPU virtualisation to visualisation, AI education and cloud research services.

Microsoft showcases the present and future of workplace innovation with generative AI ‘Copilot’

One of the most eye-catching booths at the exhibition was undoubtedly Microsoft. Visitors continually streamed into the large booth, where dozens of tablets were arranged in a long row throughout the event. This interactive space, where people could touch, input information and observe the responses themselves, focused not on simple promotion but on providing a practical user experience of Microsoft’s flagship generative AI solution, ‘Copilot’.

Copilot is Microsoft’s generative AI solution integrated with OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology, and has already been applied across Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. The booth was designed so that participants could directly try functions such as drafting emails, generating meeting summaries and analysing Excel data, allowing them to intuitively confirm its usefulness in real workplace settings.

Copilot is more than simply a ‘conversational AI’. Reports indicate that it can increase document creation speed by up to 12%, learn a user’s work style to provide increasingly personalised support, and reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks by more than 20 hours per week. It is also built on Microsoft’s robust security framework and complies with major regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA, making it notable for its ability to be used safely in environments handling sensitive industry data.

Airobot takes the stage at Industrial AI EXPO with fourth-generation humanoid ‘Alice 4’

Airobot is a company that has continued its research and development with the goal of commercialising and distributing humanoid robots. It has built up its technical expertise by introducing various models, including Alice, Amy and Eddy, and unveiled its next-generation model, ‘Alice 4’, at this Industrial AI EXPO.

The newly unveiled Alice 4 is characterised by precise control and low-noise walking. It adopts legs with a multi-link parallel structure and the SLIP (Spring-Loaded Inverted Pendulum) walking model, enabling stable walking, while its performance is being enhanced with the goal of achieving a walking speed of 3 m/s. It also uses the AI platform ‘Isaac Groot’ to understand natural language and support the performance of various tasks in industrial environments.

At the booth, visitors could play a dice game directly with Alice 4 and experience its vision and speech recognition capabilities. After the game, they received a bottle of water, allowing them to observe the robot’s smooth movements, which attracted considerable attention.

Airobot has implemented precise force control without a reducer by equipping its robots with a self-developed linear actuator. This technology enables delicate actuation through backdrivability and high current sensitivity, while its thermal management design enhances stability and durability. Its low reduction ratio also reduces noise, making it suitable for environments where it works alongside people.

Meanwhile, Airobot is also participating in the expansion of the industrial ecosystem through its involvement in the government-led ‘K-Humanoid Alliance’. Last July, it demonstrated its technological competitiveness by securing Series A investment worth KRW 1 billion.

An Airobot representative said, “Alice 4 is a robot developed to perform practical roles in industrial settings,” adding, “We will continue pursuing innovation that can enable us to lead the humanoid market.”

HP Korea unveils workstation line-up optimised for AI development

HP Korea showcased its Z Series workstations, specialised for high-performance computing environments such as AI development, 3D modelling and data analysis. HP Z AI Workstations are professional PCs designed to maintain stability during extended high-load workloads, unlike custom-built PCs or gaming PCs. They provide major ISV-certified software and AI security features, and hold the No. 1 share of the local workstation market (2021 Q3–2025 Q1, IDC).

The ‘Z8 Fury G5’, introduced as a flagship product at this exhibition, can accommodate up to four NVIDIA RTX 6000 series graphics cards and up to two AMD Radeon PRO W680 graphics cards. Its thermal control design has been enhanced so that high-performance GPUs can simultaneously deliver maximum performance, while efficiently supporting complex workloads such as large-scale data processing and sLLM training.

HP Korea also emphasised its strategy of meeting professional demand in various environments through its desktop and mobile workstation line-ups. At the booth, it showcased a workstation-based video surveillance solution, introducing a real-world application of AI infrastructure.

An HP Korea representative emphasised that “a workstation is a robust body that can bring well-designed AI solutions to life”, adding, “We will continue to develop AI solutions and hardware together to meet the needs of industrial sites.”

UVC demonstrates ‘OCTOPUS’, a full-lifecycle digital twin solution

UVC is a company that has provided smart factory solutions based on its accumulated experience in the manufacturing digital twin sector. Its proprietary platform, based on OPC UA international standard technology, supports IIoT connectivity and data analysis, while integrating various OT and IT technologies to implement digital twin environments.

At this exhibition, UVC showcased ‘OCTOPUS’, a full-lifecycle solution for autonomous manufacturing. Held under the theme ‘All About AI Factory’, the exhibition featured demonstrations of ‘OCTOPUS Insight AI’, an AI-based analytics platform, and ‘OCTOPUS MCP Center’, an AI-based control centre, from among the eight OCTOPUS solutions, allowing visitors to experience them firsthand.

During the exhibition, UVC CEO Cho Gyu-jong also gave a presentation. Under the topic ‘Manufacturing AI is the brain; can autonomous manufacturing be achieved with that alone?’, he addressed the limitations of introducing AI at manufacturing sites. Part Leader Cho Ye-chang shared examples of autonomy in real industrial settings through ‘From DX to AX: The unmanned and autonomous digital twin strategies chosen by leading companies’.

An interactive event using OCTOPUS’s mascot, an octopus plush toy, was also held at the booth. Visitors could intuitively experience Physical AI-based robot control alongside the octopus character, making digital twin technology easy to understand.

A UVC representative stated, “This exhibition is an opportunity to showcase our vision for an integrated solution for the AI transformation of the manufacturing industry. In particular, centred on Insight AI and MCP Center, visitors will be able to directly experience an autonomous manufacturing environment where AI makes decisions independently and controls processes.”

Mobilint targets ‘ARIES’ and low-power ‘REGULUS’ industrial AI with high-performance, low-power NPUs

Mobilint is an NPU specialist company that develops SoCs capable of ultra-low-power, highly efficient AI computing using its own technology. Leading the Edge AI era, it supplies lightweight AI semiconductors applicable to smart mobility, IoT, security and healthcare, and has the capability to independently handle the entire SoC design process.

At this exhibition, Mobilint showcased its AI semiconductor product lines, ‘ARIES’ and ‘REGULUS’. ARIES is a high-performance NPU that delivers up to 80 TOPS of performance with power consumption of 25W, and is available in various form factors, including the ‘MLA100’ series of PCIe cards and the standalone AI box ‘MLX-A1’. REGULUS is a low-power SoC optimised for on-device AI. It provides 10 TOPS of computing performance while consuming only around 3–5W of power. With a high-performance CPU, AI engine and general-purpose interfaces built in, it can perform AI functions independently without a server connection, making it suitable for a wide range of devices, including robots, drones, AI CCTV and smart home devices.

Through this exhibition, Mobilint presented a strategy to respond to demand for on-device AI, which is expanding from data centres into the field. It is also expanding its global partnerships. Recently, it signed a strategic agreement with Taiwanese embedded platform company Aetina to accelerate the commercialisation of AI edge computing.

A Mobilint representative said, “ARIES and REGULUS are NPU solutions that deliver both high performance and low power consumption. We will continue our collaboration and technological innovation to accelerate the adoption of Edge AI across various industrial sites.”

Wonpredict presents its vision for autonomous manufacturing with ‘AI Factory OS’

At this year's Industrial AI Expo, it officially announced its new brand tagline, ‘AI Factory Company’, declaring its leap forward as a specialist company in autonomous manufacturing AI.
