As artificial intelligence (AI) emerges as a key buzzword across industries, an opportunity has been created to experience related technologies and solutions in one place.
The ‘1st Industrial AI Expo’ opened on the 3rd at the COEX Magok Convention Center in Seoul. Held through the 5th under the theme ‘The convergence of AI and industry, leading a new industrial revolution,’ the event features more than 100 companies, including HD Hyundai and LG CNS, showcasing the latest industrial AI solutions.
In particular, global tech giants such as NVIDIA, Microsoft (MS) and AMD also set up booths with their Korean partners, showcasing their stature.
Cooling technology takes on the heat of AI

The booth that attracted the most attention was NVIDIA’s. NVIDIA set up a joint booth with its Korean partner Leaders Systems and unveiled a wide range of next-generation AI infrastructure.
The exhibition featured the NVIDIA DGX B200, an integrated AI platform encompassing training, fine-tuning and inference, as well as the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Series. In particular, the equipment’s internal structure was also revealed, attracting visitors’ attention.
VERTIV, a data centre infrastructure company that participated as a partner, introduced the ‘CoolChip CDU (coolant distribution unit),’ a next-generation liquid cooling distribution technology, and Smart Aisle3, an advanced modular data centre.

As demand for AI computing surges and managing heat from servers and GPUs emerges as a key challenge in data centre operations, cooling efficiency is directly linked to system stability as high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and GPU density increase. Accordingly, liquid cooling technology is considered an essential element of next-generation AI infrastructure.
Smart Aisle3 is a solution featuring high-efficiency precision air conditioning, UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems, and a versatile soft busway power distribution system suited to large data centre applications. A Vertiv representative emphasized, “Designed with high-density thermal loads in mind, the system can effectively manage the heat generated in high-performance computing environments.”
AMD and MS also set up booths… showcasing their technology

Clevi, a domestic startup participating as an AMD partner, showcased a program that automatically generates websites using an AI agent. When instructed to “create a shopping site that recommends outfits using AI,” coding began on the spot, attracting the attention of visitors.
Last March, Clevi officially launched its proprietary, hyper-scale generative AI, ‘Ivy.’ Ivy offers powerful features, including ▲real-time learning and adaptation ▲multimodal data processing ▲a code interpreter ▲expert model generation ▲an agent support system, and is expected to be applicable across a range of areas, from individual users to enterprises.
Global companies, including MS and HP, also participated to showcase their competitiveness. MS set up a booth where visitors could experience the Copilot program firsthand and introduced various use cases for improving work productivity.

One participant at the event said, “After experiencing AI firsthand, I was impressed that it was not simply a technology but a solution that could be applied immediately in actual industrial settings,” adding, “It seems there will be many opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to use it as well.”
The Industrial AI Expo showcased numerous new products applied to major industrial sectors, including automotive, shipbuilding, electronics, and batteries. It is also supporting the discovery of new business opportunities for promising companies through one-on-one business meetings between domestic and international industrial AI demand and supply companies, as well as IR and pitching programs.

Technology seminars featuring domestic and international AI experts, presentations of best practices, and other information exchange and networking programs were also held in parallel.
Kang Gam-chan, Director-General for Industrial Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, said in his opening remarks, “The Industrial AI Expo is an innovative forum leading the great transformation of industrial AI in our country,” adding, “We will strengthen public-private cooperation so that companies can voluntarily and securely share our strength—high-quality manufacturing data—and work to dramatically enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry through manufacturing AX.”
