Curiosity from 60,000 people met in Ulsan — Clevi Physical AI, a sketch from the Regional Era Expo venue

🤖 Hello, this is CLEVI.
We spent three days, from 19 to 21 November, at the 2025 Korea Regional Era Expo held at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Centre.
Here’s the story of those three days showcasing Physical AI at the Gyeonggi Province Pavilion booth. 🙌

What is the 2025 Korea Regional Era Expo?

Marking its fourth edition this year, the Korea Regional Era Expo is the largest regional policy exhibition in South Korea. Held under the slogan 'K-BALANCE 2025', it brought together 17 cities and provinces and 47 organisations.
Co-hosted by the Presidential Committee on Regional Development, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Ulsan Metropolitan City, the event showcased each region’s policy achievements and future vision, centred on the national balanced growth strategy of 5 poles and 3 special regions.
More than 60,000 people visited over the three days, and Ulsan officially promoted its vision of becoming the 'AI capital of Ulsan'.

With 17 cities and provinces setting up exhibition halls by region, we at CLEVI took our place in the Gyeonggi Province Pavilion.

We participated as part of the exhibition of Gyeonggi Province’s advanced industries and AI technologies. Once we finished setting up the booth, we couldn’t help but feel excited.
We were half-excited and half-worried, wondering how many people would be interested in Physical AI.

The most popular corner over the three days — An event to interact with the robot

Follow the movements

When a visitor made a movement, the robot copied it in real time. It was the most intuitive way to demonstrate teleoperation technology.
At first, some visitors cautiously waved only their hands, but they gradually became bolder, with some making movements using their whole bodies. It was impressive to see entire families taking turns to try the experience.

Rock-paper-scissors match

This event involved playing rock-paper-scissors one-on-one against the robot, and it was far more popular than expected.

Visitors could directly experience how AI recognises and judges the shape of their hand using a camera. We saw many people say, "Just one more round!" after losing several times in a row, and there were also several moments when applause broke out around the winners.

"So, what is this used for?"

Physical AI is a technology that brings AI, which had remained in the digital realm, into contact with the physical world.
Teleoperation is a method in which a robot replicates a person's movements, while on-device AI can be understood as a small AI brain built into the robot itself.
In practice, it can be used in areas such as hazardous work environments, manufacturing sites, and disaster response.
There was also a question: "Isn't this going to take away people's jobs?" Our answer was:
"This technology is not about replacing people; it is about protecting them."

From elderly visitors speaking to the robots, people queuing up to take selfies, and those amazedly saying, "So this kind of technology is coming out of Gyeonggi-do" — we showcased Physical AI in person at a venue attended by 60,000 people, received unexpected business enquiries, and spent three meaningful days enjoying diverse attractions, including the Ulsan Pavilion's 'Ulsan, the AI Capital' exhibition and the 5 Poles, 3 Special Regions food event.

Looking forward to our next meeting

Thank you to everyone who visited the Gyeonggi-do Pavilion booth.
You can meet Clevi again at the Engineering Festival taking place next week in Magok, Seoul. This time, we plan to showcase Coding Agent along with Physical AI.
Experience Clevi's increasingly diverse AI technologies for yourself!
